CeTA provides consulting services in various areas of work and life - be it business related, a creative project, or a personal project. For example, you may need advice on organizing an event, or on how to self-publish, or on how to arrange your work area into a more ergonomically suitable environment. A recent project I consulted on focused on a crowdfunding campaign for medical expenses. Note that this is a separate service from the 1 hour free consultation offered when inquiring about CeTA's services. |

Data Entry e-service can be a one-time project of inputting information into, let’s say, a spreadsheet or an author’s ISBN account. Or, it can be an ongoing task such as managing a membership database. How CeTA obtains and inputs the data will need to be discussed. Will it be through remote access, or a shared app, a spreadsheet sent via e-mail, or DropBox or Box Drive? The rate will depend on the complexity of the work. This is a bilingual service: English & French. |

As part of the Author's Assistance, CeTA offers beta reading services for you, the writer, who is seeking feedback on a more in-depth level before you send your manuscript to an editor.
Alpha reading is also available for the writer with a new WIP (work in progress) requiring feedback before proceeding any further. And as a bonus ... I'm not only an avid reader but I write and edit, which means I know how to craft a story, the power of words, and how to structure both fictional and non-fictional writing. |
As I read your WIP, I note my impressions and observations, which are then written out in a report containing constructive feedback you can review and reflect upon, use or not use.
Here are a few examples of what you can receive. Feedback on your book cover design and title. At what point did you capture my attention? Was I able to visualize the characters, feel them, understand what motivates them? Are the scenarios plausible? Was the dialogue distinctive enough and fitting of the characters? (The guideline I follow is available upon request. Or you can send me your own specifications.)
Your work is protected under the Service Agreement that contains a Confidentiality clause, as well as a NDA. Ask for my policies to see more regarding copyright, as well as CeTA's Alpha & Beta Reading services.

RATE FOR ALPHA/BETA READING
The rate for this service is based on word count plus a fee for the report and the taxes: $0.03 per word + $30 for the report (+ tax). The following is a guide.

Novella (17,000 to 40,000 words): $510 to $1,200 + $30
Novel (40,000 to 110,000 words): $1,200 to $3,300 + $30

DOCUMENTS & DESIGN SERVICES
Projects can range from copy typing your handwritten notes, to formatting your training manual, to setting up your e-book, or creating your Facebook banner or designing your website. This is for those times where you need to have something that has been handwritten, scanned or photocopied typed out. Formatting is limited to areas in need of being defined such as a title or paragraph. A review of the final document is included in this service. Languages: English, French, Italian and Spanish |

WORD PROCESSING: Letters, reports, labels, manuscripts, etc. fall under this service. It can either be the creation of such documents (with or without more advanced formatting requirements than Copy Typing), or it can include the formatting of an already existing document. Work such as business cards or presentations, which require more graphic design regarding layout would fall under Desktop Publishing. Languages: English & French |
DESKTOP PUBLISHING | DIGITAL PUBLISHING
These services take Word Processing one step further regarding the creation or formatting of documents where the focus is on the aesthetic arrangement of text and graphics, design and layout. CeTA can help you with such things as your presentation, your newsletter, a manuscript, a banner for your Facebook Business Page, even entering or setting up your website. (A learning curb may be required for those websites I’m not familiar with.)

CREATING, FORMATTING, CONVERTING TEMPLATES
Do you have a document you use repeatedly and sometimes losing valuable content when you edit it and forget to save it as a new document? Is there a template you would like to edit or reformat? Or would you like to create one from scratch, like the specific interior design of your manuscript? Let me help you with that. CeTA can assist you or collaborate with your Project Manager or Event Organizer on an as needed basis. (I no longer take the lead in organizing events.) Billing can be set up on an hourly basis, or we can arrange a Retainer Plan for a longer term event. BASIC This service usually applies to events with basic requirements and/or coordination such as data entry (list of participants, schedules, etc.), or the preparation of documents (invitations, training manual, presentation, etc.). |

Tasks at this level are more involved and/or complex like helping you plan your event to researching venues, or preparing more complex documents, to managing your participant list.

A consultation will be required in order for us to determine what type of search you need and whether CeTA can carry out such a search. (Location or subject that I'm not familiar with may be too time consuming and costly for you.) We can then discuss what you seek in more details, and how much time you want spent searching. The more defined the parameters are, the easier it will be to retrieve the information you need and the less expensive it will be for you.
